Overview
Prior Experience
During law school, Jay worked as an intern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Minnesota. In this role, she researched and drafted legal memoranda and sentencing briefs, reviewed case files and documents, and was able to observe hearings. She also completed judicial externships with the Honorable Nancy E. Brasel and the Honorable Becky R. Thorson, both with the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. During those externships, Jay drafted court orders, reviewed motion filings, and shadowed the judges during hearings, sentencings and jury trials.
Jay served as a summer associate with the firm in 2023. During that time, she drafted blog articles, assisted with document review and citations, and attended client meetings, depositions and hearings.
Jay previously worked with the U.S. Embassy Seoul as a curriculum designer and English instructor and was an English Language Program Fellow with the U.S. Department of State English Language Programs.
Personal Interests
As a foodie, Jay enjoys trying new restaurants in the Twin Cities area. When she isn’t at the office or scoping out the local food scene, Jay enjoys traveling and playing computer games.
