Overview

Taylor Toms assists public and privately held companies in connection with corporate matters with a focus on securities and capital markets transactions. She aids in preparing documents for her clients and helps ensure their compliance with regulations and corporate governance standards. Taylor also provides legal support to clients in the sports law industry.  

Prior Experience

Taylor previously served as a summer associate with Faegre Drinker, where she gained experience in mergers and acquisitions, sports law, and in the private funds and capital markets space. She also supported the firm’s pro bono task force in developing creative solutions to housing problems. Taylor spent her last year of law school as an Antitrust Fellow in Arizona State University’s Antitrust Program in Washington, D.C. While in D.C., she also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Tax Division and previously completed an externship for the Honorable Judge Daniel P. Collins in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona. 

Before law school, Taylor worked for a local nonprofit association as their community executive manager, where she directed all operations and ensured compliance with local, state and federal laws. In this position, she handled corporate governance, conducted legal research at the direction of the board of directors, and navigated unprecedented new laws and restrictions during the emergence of COVID-19. 

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Taylor enjoys entertaining, fashion trend forecasting, baking, and cooking. After work, she can be found jogging or playing fetch in the park with her energetic black lab mix.
