Overview

Keri Wertish works closely with clients to plan and execute real estate transactions, with an emphasis on commercial leasing, affordable housing development and corporate/real estate due diligence.

Corporate Leasing

Keri represents both landlord and tenant clients in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases for space in shopping centers, office buildings, and warehouse and industrial facilities in locations across the country. In connection with commercial leases, Keri has also drafted, reviewed and negotiated estoppel certificates, subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements, listing agreements, tenant improvement letters, subleases, assignments and various lease amendments.

Affordable Housing Development

Keri has assisted developers of affordable housing in various aspects, including acquisition of property, review of loan documents, and drafting development agreements, opinion letters, extended use agreements, corporate resolutions, easements, and other necessary documents.

Real Estate Due Diligence

Keri has assisted numerous corporate entities in reviewing, analyzing and summarizing various corporate and real estate documents in connection with corporate mergers and stock and asset purchases and sales. Additionally, Keri is part of the legal team that represents Principal Life Insurance Company in connection with commercial loans to real estate developers. In this regard, Keri reviews leases and prepares tenant estoppels and subordination agreements.
