Seagate Technology hired our firm to defend against a billion-dollar patent infringement lawsuit brought by Siemens. The patent involved sensors used in read heads of hard disc drives. After a six-week jury trial, the jury found Siemens' patent invalid. The Federal Circuit affirmed the jury’s verdict. The National Law Journal listed the trial victory as one of the top 10 trial victories of the year. Siemens v. Seagate Technology, 8:06-cv-00788 (C.D. Cal. 2009)
