In today's technology-rich environment, data is a high-value business asset that warrants protection. Regardless of whether a company seeks to use data from other sources or has its own database that can be leveraged through licensing to third parties, the contract and compliance considerations regarding the protection and treatment of data and related intellectual property are vast and complex.
