Overview

Alison Agnew advises clients across a range of industries and throughout all phases of litigation at the federal and state level. She practices in all aspects of civil litigation, including written and oral advocacy, fact and expert discovery, motions practice, trial preparation and appellate work.

In addition, Alison counsels clients on a variety of antitrust matters, which include compliance counseling; assessing potential competitive effects of proposed transactions; obtaining regulatory clearance for mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures; and defending against state and federal antitrust investigations and litigation. She has a particular focus in the health care sector, representing a variety of health system, provider, health technology and pharmaceutical clients.

Alison also represents companies and individuals in civil and criminal investigations, tax controversies, fraud investigations and False Claims Act matters. Her litigation experience also extends to various complex commercial matters, including contract disputes, trade secrets and unfair competition claims, and commercial real estate disputes.

While in law school, Alison interned at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of Virginia and served as a law clerk in the Boston College Innocence Project.
