Richard Bennett provides practical, business-minded guidance to clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture finance and general corporate issues. Richard has deep experience across many industries and a variety of transaction structures. He draws from his experience negotiating, drafting and structuring agreements to handle any challenges his clients might face.

Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity

Richard represents buyers, sellers and institutional investors in M&A transactions and strategic investments. He has extensive experience representing both public and private companies in transformational M&A transactions and cross-border deals. Richard also regularly represents leading private equity firms in platform and add-on acquisitions, as well as successful exit transactions.

Venture Capital and Family Offices

Richard counsels venture capital firms, strategic investors and family offices in emerging company investments and venture capital financings. He is experienced in all aspects of equity and convertible debt private placements.

Corporate Counseling

Richard advises private companies, including portfolio companies of private equity firms, in connection with corporate governance and capitalization matters, commercial contracts and other corporate matters. He also serves as outside general counsel to private companies, assisting them with day-to-day legal issues.
