Faegre Drinker Advises Homesteaders in Connection With $1.2 Billion Take-Private of Park Lawn Corporation
A Faegre Drinker team, led by corporate partner Michael Abbott, is advising Homesteaders Life Company in a $1.2 billion transaction involving Park Lawn Corporation, Canada’s largest publicly traded funeral, cremation and cemetery provider with properties in Canada and the United States.
As part of the transaction, Homesteaders is part of the purchaser group that will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Park Lawn in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.2 billion. Subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, the arrangement is anticipated to be completed in August 2024.
